Dimension Data wins $10 million order from federal courts

Dimension Data Holdings plc won a five-year, $10 million contract for wide area network support and network management by the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts, the company announced today.

Under the terms of the contract, Dimension Data's government services group will provide network engineering, operations services and network management facility to support the courts' help desk, design and implement a wide area network, and provide support for ongoing design and analysis of the courts' existing network.

Dimension Data, along with its subcontractor n-link Corp. of Bellevue, Wash., will support more than 30,000 federal judges and court staff nationwide. n-link will provide instructor and training administration, augmenting Dimension Data's help desk expertise.

The Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts is the administrative arm of the federal judicial branch, providing services to the federal courts and judges in administrative support, program management and policy development. Dimension Data has worked with the office since 1998, redesigning and growing the office's network from 320 sites to 800. The company also runs the office's network operations center supporting a national WAN. Dimension Data also built a second national WAN to support PACERNet, Public Access to Courts Electronic Records.
