CDC awards Orkand $10 million services contract

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has awarded Orkand Corp. a $10.4 million contract to provide IT services for a long-running survey done by the National Center for Health Statistics.
The contract is a follow-on deal for work that the Falls Church, Va., company initially began in 2001 for the national health and nutrition examination survey.
Orkand has worked with the CDC statistical agency, which compiles data to guide governmental health policies, for more than a decade.
