IGov wins Defense wireless deal

IGov.com, McLean, Va. has won a blanket purchase agreement to sell wireless services and products to the Defense Department.

Although there is no ceiling for the amount of wireless equipment that may be purchased through the agreement, individual orders are limited to $5 million per transaction, according to Jack Pooley, vice president of IGov.com.

The contract was awarded last week by the Army's Network Technology Army Command. IGov will offer wireless access points, bridges, security gateways, wireless local area networks management tools. The company also will also offer complete turnkey solutions to customers.

IGov has already provided wireless solutions to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
