DRC nets $70 million Army deal

Dynamics Research Corp., Andover, Mass., has won a subcontract worth up to $70 million to provide training software and documentation for the Army's Future Combat Systems program, the company announced today.

Boeing Co., Chicago, and Science Applications International Corp., San Diego, lead the FCS system integration team, which awarded the contract. DRC is now in final negotiations with the team for the seven-year job.

Under this contract, DRC will provide training support packages for the combat systems program. It will develop the training requirements, select the media to be used and produce the final products.

The Boeing and SAIC-led team won the $14.9 billion FCS contract in May to develop and demonstrate a system comprised of assault vehicles, sensors and related networking equipment. The work is expected to run through 2010.
