Stanley wins $9 million Marine logistics work

Stanley Associates Inc., Alexandria, Va., won a $9 million contract to maintain and modernize a multitude of Marine Corps legacy logistics systems, the company announced.

The Marine Corps Program Manager Logistic Information Systems Software Support Activity contract calls for Stanley to maintain legacy systems such as the Integrated Maintenance Management System, the Supported Activities Supply System, the Asset Tracking and Logistics Supply System, as well as at least four others. Work will be done at the Marine Corps logistics base in Albany, Ga.

"This contract will allow us to maintain close ties with users of existing USMC logistics systems as we continue to assist the USMC in [its] modernization efforts," said Jim Brabston, Stanley Associates' vice president of defense systems.

In addition to this contract, Stanley also supports the Marine logistics office for the work it does with the Marine Air-Ground Task Force system, the Transportation Coordinator's Automated Information for Movement System and the Computer Aided Embarkation Management System.

Founded in 1989, Stanley Associates specializes in providing the government with software, network, enterprise architecture and outsourcing solutions. A privately held and employee-owned company, Stanley expects $150 million in revenue for 2002.

Government customers include the departments of Defense, Energy, Health and Human Services, Justice, State and NASA.
