Brady: CIA shifts into info-sharing mode

The Central Intelligence Agency is making information sharing a higher priority, said Bobby Brady, the deputy chief information officer at CIA April 23.

Brady pointed to the CIA's participation in the Terrorist Threat Integration Center, which is scheduled to open May 1, as an example of this new priority in work.

The TTIC, announced by President Bush in January, will collect, analyze and share terrorist threat-related information drawn from the CIA, the FBI, the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Defense.

"We must remember that the CIA supports a global mission. Any down time at the wrong time is detrimental to this mission," Brady said.

Brady spoke at an industry conference held by federal IT analyst firm Input Inc. of Chantilly, Va.
