AeA, a trade association representing the high-tech industry, will team with B2Gsource Inc. and Federal Sources Inc. to help its members land government contracting opportunities in tough economic times.

Through the partnership, AeA members will have access to new business opportunities by tapping into government leads at the federal, state and local government levels.

Specifically, B2G will offer bid notification and consulting services at the state and local levels to AeA members at a preferred price, while FSI will provide bid notification, bid inquiry and consulting services at the federal level.

William Archey, AeA president and chief executive officer, said that government business is attractive to high-tech companies in tough economic times because it is stable, consistent and offers a large revenue potential. But getting these contracts can be complicated and intimidating to companies unfamiliar with the intricacies of government contracting, he said.

"We see our members wanting to approach the government with their technologies, but not knowing where to start," he said. "Our new partnerships with B2Gsource and FSI ... will point our members in the right direction and help them get a foot in the door."

B2Gsource Inc. provides sales intelligence and lead generating services to help companies to identify and win contracting opportunities with state and local governments.

FSI is a market research and consulting firm that provides market intelligence on the public-sector IT market to the IT industry, government agencies and the financial community.
