Information technology projects at the Immigration and Naturalization Service have not received needed oversight by the Justice Department, according to a report from the General Accounting Office.
The report, "Information Technology: Justice Plans to Improve Oversight of Agency Projects," said Justice has not implemented a process to measure progress against investments. GAO recommended that the attorney general direct the Justice chief information officer to ensure oversight becomes a departmental priority, and that deviations from oversight plans be reported to the attorney general.
