The Defense Visual Information directorate of the American Forces Information Service has released a draft request for proposals to acquire a Visual Information Management System. The system will use advanced technologies to collect, index, store, search, distribute and manage visual information. It also will capture and automate the storage of motion media, still media, graphics, audio and documents and text.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services in the Department of Health and Human Services intend to award several task-order contracts for professional information technology services. The contracts will be for one year with four one-year options.

One task set will be a 100-percent small business set-aside; a second task set will be a full and open unrestricted competition. The Navy's Space & Naval Warfare Systems Command System Center Charleston is planning to buy services to help the Spawar Technology Training Center in Norfolk, Va., deliver classroom training to government agencies and customers in Europe, including bilingual training and services. Training will be conducted at numerous sites in Europe.
