SRA Scores Major Task Order from NIH

SRA International will provide network engineering, software development and user support services to the National Institutes of Health.

SRA International Inc. was selected by the National Institutes of Health to provide network engineering, software development and user support services for a network that carries 30,000 users nationwide, the company announced Dec. 20.


The task order, under the Chief Information Officer Solutions and Partners 2 contract, has a value of $68 million over 10 years if all options are exercised.


SRA of Fairfax, Va., will work with NIH's Center for Information Technology to maintain and enhance the reliability and availability of NIHnet, which provides the network infrastructure for scientific, administrative and business applications accessed by users.


Services to be provided include network and systems engineering, operations and maintenance, software development and network security.

Joining SRA on its team are CIBER Inc., McLean, Va.; JIL Information Systems Inc., Vienna, Va.; People Processing Information Inc., Silver Spring, Md.; and Universal Hi-Tech Development Inc., Rockville, Md.
