Unisys Extends Seat Management Contract
Unisys Corp. has received a blanket purchase agreement from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms that extends its seat management services to 2004.
Unisys Corp. of Blue Bell, Pa., has received a blanket purchase agreement from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms that extends its seat management services to 2004, Unisys announced Aug. 6. The contract has a value of up to $60 million.
The contract expands on a 1997 partnership that already encompasses 6,000 seats. Equipment covered includes desktop computers, notebook computers, printers, servers, communications products and network management tools.
Under the agreement, Unisys will continue to provide the bureau with infrastructure support, help-desk support, installation, asset management, asset tracking, centralized and remote terminal management and special operations support.
Unisys will continue providing network management, training, maintenance and other support services.
"As the incumbent contractor, we are extremely pleased to continue our relationship with ATF," said Ira Kirsch, vice president and general manager of Unisys U.S. Federal Government Group.
Unisys, which employs more than 37,000 people in 100 countries, had revenue of $6.9 billion in fiscal 2000.
