E-Gov Partnership Aimed at Legacy Systems

TekInsight.com Inc. and iWay Software have formed a strategic alliance to deliver e-government solutions that are integrated with legacy databases for state and local governments, the companies announced Aug. 28.
TekInsight, a provider of government transformation services, will combine its product offerings with those of iWay Software, a provider of middleware that accelerates e-business initiatives through the rapid integration of complex back-office systems.
TekInsight's ePluribus software, IBM Corp.'s Websphere e-Business platform and iWay's Software Enterprise integration suite of adapters and connectors come together to deliver complete e-government solutions.
TekInsight of Irvine, Calif., is a member of Armonk, N.Y.-based IBM Corp's e-Business program.
The solutions provide state and local governments with Web-based transaction applications, such as licensing and permitting, and the tools to create reusable integration infrastructure that easily leverages existing legacy systems.
iWay Software is a part of Information Builders Inc. of New York.
