Private equity firm Broadtree Partners acquired Sayres in 2021 and has supported two acquisitions since then.

Sayres Defense has acquired a provider of mission support and other professional services as part of a push to further extend across the departments of Defense and Homeland Security.

By purchasing Global Systems Technologies, Sayres is also looking to grow its portfolio of test-and-evaluation and systems engineering services.

Terms of the transaction announced Friday were undisclosed, while Sayres' current chief executive Tim Reardon will continue as CEO of the larger entity. Reardon first joined Sayres in the summer of 2022 as CEO.

GST also provides logistics and research-and-development work to its client base.

For Sayres, its buy of GST represents the second such since the former was acquired by private equity firm Broadtree Partners in the summer of 2021. Sayres purchased Joint Research and Development in the summer of 2023.

Holland and Knight worked as the legal counsel to Broadtree, Sayres and JRAD. G Squared Capital Partners acted as financial adviser to GST, whose legal counsel was Miles and Stockbridge.
