Northrop Grumman has won a $1.7 million contract to develop biometric solutions for the Homeland Security Department’s Science and Technology directorate.

Northrop Grumman has won a $1.7 million contract to develop biometric solutions for the Homeland Security Department’s Science and Technology directorate.

Under the contract, Northrop Grumman will enhance mobile security for users while eliminating the need for a password.

The company will combine behavioral sensing and modeling techniques to authenticate user identity, the company said in a release.
