Riptide Software has won a $47 million contract with the Marine Corps to provide software support and upgrades to the Combined Arms Command and Control Trainer Upgrade System (CACCTUS).
The CACCTUS system immerses trainees in a realistic, scenario-driven environment, enabling commanders and their battle staffs to train or rehearse tactics, techniques, procedures and decision-making processes prior to a physical engagement.
CACCTUS can also provide training across live, virtual, and constructive training networks with appropriate C4I systems in a training environment, the Defense Department said in a release.
Work will be performed in Ovieda, Fla., and is expected to be completed by September 2020.
