General Dynamics wins $321.M option to continue nuclear sub support

General Dynamics has won a $321.7 million option with the Navy to provide technical support for active nuclear submarines.

Under the contract, General Dynamics will provide design change documentation, logistics technical data, configuration management, engineering, maintenance, submarine technical trade support, training, research and development, and modernization, the Defense Department said in a release.

Work will be performed in Groton, Conn., Bangor Wash., Norfolk, Va., Newport, R.I., Quonset, R.I., Kings Bay, Ga., and Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, and is expected to be completed September 2017.
