Siemens Government Technologies has named Barbara Humpton president and chief executive officer, effective Oct. 1, 2015.

She replaces current president and CEO Judy Marks who has been selected to be executive vice president, Global Solutions at Dresser-Rand, a Siemens subsidiary, the company said in a release. The move was instigated by Siemens’ acquisition of Dresser-Rand  earlier this year.

Humpton joined the company in October 2011 as senior vice president of business development. She was then appointed chief operating officer in 2014.

Before joining Siemens, Humpton held management positions at Lockheed Martin and Booz Allen Hamilton.
