Microsoft gets $162.8M contract extension to continue enterprise technical support

Microsoft Corp. has won a $162.8 million contract modification to provide Microsoft enterprise technical support services to the Defense Information Systems Agency.

Microsoft Corp. has won a $162.8 million contract modification to provide Microsoft enterprise technical support services to the Defense Information Systems Agency.

This modification increases the cumulative value of the contract from $412.2 million to $575 million, the Defense Department said in a release.

The contract is meant to allow DISA to obtain trained Microsoft Blue Badge Cardholder support, which requires having access rights to Microsoft’s closed source code, which the Defense Department needs access to in order to meet its mission, the Defense Department said.

Work will be performed within the United States.
