American Systems picks up more engineering, IT services with latest acquisition

American Systems has added complementary engineering and IT services as well as new employees with its acquisition of EM Business Holdings.

This is American Systems' first acquisition since its  and also the first acquisition since the company .

American Systems has added complementary capabilities and new employees by acquiring EM Business Holdings in a deal that closed today.

Arlington, Va.-based EM Business Holdings brings engineering, information technology and professional services as well as more than 160 employees to American Systems.

Founded in 2000, EMBH provides program management, systems engineering, logistics and modeling and simulation to defense, security and intelligence markets, American Systems said in a release.

“EMBH will mesh well with our culture and our current capabilities, and their support of national priority programs is aligned with our strategic plan,” said Peter Smith, American Systems.

EMBH will become part of American Systems' human capital and managed services group led by vice president and general manager Jason Frye.
