Marines issue Plans and Data Support contract solicitation

The Marine Corps released the final solicitation for its Plans and Data Support contract June 30.

The Marine Corps released the official solicitation for its Plans and Data Support contract June 30.

Through the contract, the Corps wants a full range of logistics services and software development support for its Marine Corps Prepositioning Programs (MCPP). The contract also includes operational logistics to engaged Marine Corps and Defense Department forces. The support will enable the forces to rapidly conduct arrival and assembly operations and, when required, support the reconstitution efforts after missions are completed.

The MCPP enhances forces’ operations by providing mission-tailored, pre-positioned support to expeditionary operations globally for the Marine Air Ground Task Forces.

The Marine Corps seeks services and products support for seven major areas:

• Program tailoring
• Maintenance cycle planning
• Operations and exercises
• Data management
• Information system
• Automated identification technology
• Programming and software interface maintenance

The Marine Corps released a pre-solicitation in April and the solicitation June 30. Responses are due by Aug. 3.
