Airtec wins $80.7M contract to provide ISR services

Airtec Inc. has won an $80.7 million contract to provide intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance services in support of the U.S. Southern Command.

Airtec Inc. has won an $80.7 million contract to provide intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance services in support of the U.S. Southern Command.

The U.S. Southern Command is responsible for providing contingency planning, operations and security cooperation in Central America, South America and the Caribbean.

Under the contract, Airtec will provide ISR services utilizing a contractor-owned, contractor-operated Bombardier DHC-8/200 multi-sensor aircraft, the Defense Department said in a release.

Work will be performed in Bogota, Columbia, and California, Md., and is expected to be completed in September 2018.
