Abt Associates nabs $12M USAID support contract

Abt Associates has won a $12 million USAID contract to continue its work supporting food security conditions in South Sudan.

Abt Associates has won a $12 million USAID contract to continue its work supporting food security conditions in South Sudan.

Under the contract, Abt will work to increase agricultural production, build rural markets and improve public and private capacity in South Sudan, the company said in a release.

The company will target small-to-medium agribusinesses and smallholder farmers.

Abt’s team includes Texas A&M’s Borlaug Institute for International Agriculture, ACDI/VOCA, Action Africa Help-International, RSM Consulting, Making Cents International and BBC Media Action.
