Northrop nabs $7.7M contract to repair Hawkeye UAV

Northrop Grumman has won a $7.7 million sole source contract with the Navy to repair the Advanced Hawkeye system used on the E-2D aircraft.

The E-2D Advanced Hawkeye is the Navy’s carrier-based Airborne Early Warning and Battle Management Command and Control aircraft. 

First flown in 2007, the aircraft has advanced radar sensor and network-enabled capabilities, providing situational awareness to the warfighter, Northrop Grumman said on its website. 

Work will be performed in Liverpool, N.Y., Woodland Hill, Calif., Davenport, Iowa, Marlboro, Mass., and North Hollywood, Calif., and is expected to be completed May 23, 2016.
