KPMG taps new chairman, CEO

KPMG Inc. has tapped Lynne Doughtie to be the firm’s chairman and CEO for the next five years, effective July 1.

KPMG Inc. has tapped Lynne Doughtie to be the firm’s chairman and CEO for the next five years, effective July 1.

The news comes on the same day that KPMG announced its acquisition of Triad Technology Partners’ professional services practice, which will be integrated into the company’s Advisory business.

Doughtie currently leads the Advisory business.  She succeeds John Veihmeyer, who has led the company since 2010 and simultaneously served as global chairman of KPMG International since February 2014.

Doughtie joined KPMG in 1985 and has served in a number of management and leadership roles since then. She became head of the firm’s Advisory business in 2011.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Virginia Tech.

Doughtie will be joined by Scott Ozanus, who was reelected deputy chairman and chief operating officer.
