Army focused on continuing ITES-2S success

The Army’s IT Enterprise Solutions-2 Services (ITES-2S) contract has been a popular contract vehicle, with multiple agencies placing about $10 billion in task orders through it, and the Army wants to build on that success with ITES-3S, according to FCW.
With ITES-3S, the Army is trying to attract more small businesses and wants the scope of the vehicle to include IT services that enable the Defense Department to meet mission requirements in the areas of cyber and cloud.
Industry is currently awaiting a follow-up solicitation to an RFI that was released in February 2013. ITES-2S has been extended through April 2018, which will give the Army’s component in charge of the vehicle—Computer Hardware, Enterprise Software and Solutions, or CHESS—more time to draft the RFP and help ensure that ITES-3S continues ITES-2S’ broad applicability across government, FCW reported.
