HP Enterprise Services has won a seven-year $190 million contract to implement its Medicaid information management system and continue as Medicaid fiscal agent for the State of Arkansas.

Under the contract, HP will implement its interChange Medicaid Management Information System, which will give Arkansas flexibility to adjust quickly to changing state and federal policies while still processing daily claims for the state’s Medicaid clients, HP said in a release.

The company will maintain the legacy system before the new one is live. Arkansas will leverage HP business process services during and after the implementation for the state’s provider enrollment, claims processing, reporting and audits.

The contract continues an almost 30-year relationship between the company and Arkansas.
