The Air Force has put together a Task Force Cyber Aware group to diagnose its cyber risks and vulnerabilities as part of a larger move to develop an enterprise-wide approach to cybersecurity, according to FCW.

The agency already makes an effort to ensure that its networks and IT are secure, but FCW reported that networks and IT only account for about 20 percent of at-risk assets. The Air Force is looking to diagnose vulnerabilities from its main networks to its weapon systems and program offices.

The task force will analyze the agency for one year. After that, FCW said, its findings will influence governance planning, cybersecurity spending and budget planning efforts.
