SAIC has won a $165 million contract to provide logistics support for maintenance, repair and operations requirements at Defense Department and other federal locations in the southwest United States.

The effort will support the maintenance, repair and operations tailored logistics support program, which allows Defense installations to order supplies and equipment as needed to meet their missions, SAIC said in a release.

Under the contract, SAIC will employ commercial business practices to reduce total maintenance, repair and operations logistics costs to Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support and its customers.

The company will be working at locations in Arizona, Nevada, Utah and Southern California, and work is expected to be completed in March 2020.
