The FBI released a sources sought notice March 1 to find small businesses capable of supporting its Enterprise Operations Center.

FBI officials want systems management services to maintain operational efficiencies in its EOC, respond and manage incidents and outages, and implement changes to ensure the FBI’s system infrastructure is secure and responsive to the law enforcement agency’s needs.

The support includes proactive monitoring all network circuits, systems and servers and troubleshooting customer IT queries. The contractor will perform incident, as well as network and server management services to keep continuity of operations. On a broader scale, the contractor will analyze and look for trends in frequent trouble areas.

The contractor must monitor the FBI’s server production environments and equipment and provide constant coverage. The contractor must also coordinate with other contractors and service providers for those services the FBI has obtained through outside vendors, such as Verizon, CISCO, Dell, HP and Lexmark.

FBI officials are considering a five-year contract. They expect to exercise all the options, but it’s contingent on funding, continuation of needs and a contractor’s performance.

FBI is accepting responses to the sources sought notice until March 16.
