Northrop Grumman to support Global Hawk UAV under $306.1M contract

Northrop Grumman has won a $306.1 million sole source contract to provide logistics to the Air Force in support of the Global Hawk UAV.

Northrop Grumman has won a $306.1 million sole source contract to provide logistics to the Air Force in support of the Global Hawk UAV.

The Global Hawk’s primary use is to conduct intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions.

Under the contract, Northrop Grumman will provide logistics, sustainment and materials and services for planning, operations and maintenance, the Defense Department said in a release.

Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2015.
