The Agriculture Department is looking for a company who can provide a virtualized hosting environment meeting various levels of FISMA compliance to support the department in its redesign of its web presence.
The department also intends to provide richer, more scalable citizen-oriented services online, according to the sources sought notice.
Companies who provide infrastructure-as-a-service were mentioned in the notice, as the agency is looking for cloud computing solutions in order to enable on-demand network access to a shared pool of configurable and reliable computing resources that can be provisioned and released with minimal effort.
Responses are due by Sept. 25, 2014.
