Harris scores $450M contract to support DISA crisis management system

Harris Corp. has won a $450 million contract to provide engineering, maintenance and program management support to the Defense Information Systems Agency.

Harris Corp. has won a $450 million contract to provide engineering, maintenance and program management support to the Defense Information Systems Agency.

The contract is to support DISA’s Crisis Management System, which provides video teleconferencing, Crisis Management Network and executive VoIP phone network to the President, Vice President and National Security Advisor, according to a DISA report.

The contract has a one-year base and nine option years, with work expected to wrap up in August 2015.

According to a Defense Department release, two companies bid on the contract.
