Acentia company wins $97.2M to support NOAA satellite and product office

2020 Company LLC has won a five-year, $97.2 million contract to provide program management, systems engineering and operations and maintenance services to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

The contract, called the Satellite Mission Operations and Maintenance Support contract, will support NOAA’s Office of Satellite and Product Operations.

The office collects, processes, and distributes environmental satellite data and derived products about Earth's weather, atmosphere, oceans, land, and near-space conditions, Acentia said in a release.

Its systems monitor and control the operation of the satellites and central ground facilities, which ingest, generate, and distribute environmental satellite data and derived products to domestic and foreign users, the company said.

2020 Company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Acentia.
