TWD & Associates divests telecommunications subsidiary to startup

TWD & Associates is selling off one of its James Communications subsidiary as it puts more of its focus on managed services and "as a service" offerings.

TWD & Associates is selling off one of its subsidiaries to an information assurance, collaboration, enterprise architecture and program management startup named CONETSCO LLC.

CONETSCO was founded as a service-disabled veteran-owned small business focused on the federal marketplace.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

James Communications Inc., TWD's subsidiary, was acquired by TWD in 2006 and provides telecommunications infrastructure services to federal, state and local government customers, TWD said in a release.

The company holds the GSA IT Schedule 70 contract, which CONETSCO will acquire along with the company.

“TWD is focused on delivering managed services and ‘as-a-service’ offerings such as UCaaS (Unified Communications-as-a-Service),” said Besterman.  “This transaction will allow us to continue our progress in these areas.”
