Abt Associates nabs $48.6M contract to improve competitiveness for West African businesses
Abt Associates has won a $48.6 million contract with USAID to increase regional trade competitiveness in West Africa, improve food security and reduce poverty under USAID’s Trade Hub Network.
Abt Associates has won a $48.6 million contract with USAID to increase regional trade competitiveness in West Africa, improve food security and reduce poverty under USAID’s Trade Hub Network.
USAID’s Trade Hub Network aims to tackle problems in transportation, telecommunications, access to finance and business environment that make it difficult for West African companies to compete in world markets, according to its website.
Under the contract, Abt will improve both the private sector’s capacity and the policies, rules and practices that govern regional and external trade, as well as increase regional and international exports, jobs and investments, the company said in a release.
Abt’s team consists of four small businesses: Banyan Global, JE Austin, SSG Advisors and Kanava International, and the company will also partner locally with ISSER, Performances Management Consulting and Catek Groupe.
