Two win Navy contracts to take on IEDs

Engility and A-T Solutions have won contracts with the Navy to provide engineering and technical support to work on defeating improvised explosive devices.

Two companies have won contracts with the Navy to provide engineering and technical support at the Indian Head Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division as the service continues its work to defeat IEDs.

The winners are:

  • Engility - $24.9 million
  • A-T Solutions - $23.5 million

Under the contract, the two companies will advise and assist with various tasks in support of engineering support, system engineering and technical analysis, development of programs and technology to counter improvised explosive devices, the Defense Department said.

Work will be performed in Indian Head, Md., and is expected to be completed by February 2017.

Funding in the amount of $10,000 is obligated at the time of the award.

Three bids were received for this contract.
