CardConnect names new CEO

CardConnect has named current president Jeffrey Shanahan as CEO, effective immediately.

Former CEO and founder Brian Shanahan, brother of Jeffrey, will move onto the role of non-executive chairman of the board, where he will continue to guide the company’s growth strategy.

Jeffrey Shanahan joined CardConnect when it was founded in 2006, and has held roles such as chief operating officer, president, and has served as a member of the company’s board.

He formerly worked at Booz Allen Hamilton and Capgemini.

Shanahan holds a degree in management science and information systems from the Pennsylvania State University.
