Verizon wins $11M to support computing modernization

Verizon Business Services has won a $11 million contract to provide the Defense Information Systems Agency with telecommunication services.

Verizon Business Services has won a $11 million contract to provide the Defense Information Systems Agency with telecommunication services.

The contract will support the High Performance Computing Modernization program office. The program was started in 1993 to modernize the Defense Department’s supercomputer infrastructure.

Under the contract, Verizon Business Services will provide DISA with defense research and engineering network telecommunication services.
