Raytheon nabs $12M contract to support military satellite broadcast system

Raytheon has won a $12 million sole sourced contract to provide the U.S. Air Force with sustainment services in support of the Military Satellite Communications System Global Broadcast System.

Raytheon has won a $12 million sole sourced contract to provide the U.S. Air Force with sustainment services in support of the Military Satellite Communications System Global Broadcast System.

Under the contract, Raytheon will support the broadcast system’s operational capability and sustainment. The broadcast system is used to communicate with warfighters that are deployed or on the move.

Work will be performed in Sterling, Va., and is expected to be completed by March 31, 2016.

Funding in the amount of $1.6 million is obligated at the time of the award.
