QinetiQ North America has won a $20 million contract to provide Iraq with the company’s TALON IV military robots, spares and training.

The TALON IV robot provides the Iraqi military’s explosive ordnance disposal technicians with a man-transportable capability to remotely perform reconnaissance and IED detection, QinetiQ said in a release.
Work will be performed in Waltham, Mass., and in Iraq, and is expected to be completed by March 2014.
