Northrop Grumman wins $7M subcontract to build control systems for a new Coast Guard cutter

Northrop Grumman has won a $6.9 million subcontract from Huntington Ingalls Industries to support the U.S. Coast Guard.

Under the subcontract, Northrop Grumman will supply the ship integrated control system, or SICS, on the Coast Guard’s sixth National Security Cutter.

Northrop Grumman will provide engineering services, installation, integration, testing and commissioning of the SICS systems at Huntington Ingalls Industries’ shipyard in Pascagoula, Miss, the company said in a release.

So far, Northrop Grumman has supplied SICS for five of nine planned National Security Cutters.

Work will take place in Charlottesville, Va., and Ocean Springs, Miss., and at Huntington Ingalls’ shipyard in Pascagoula, Miss.
