Booz Allen taps new EVP, general counsel

Laben joins the company from AECOM

Booz Allen Hamilton has named Nancy Laben executive vice president and general counsel, succeeding Robert Osbourne who is retiring from the company.

As executive vice president and general counsel, Laben will lead Booz Allen's law department, which covers corporate governance, government contract law, employment law, securities law and investigations.

Laben will also be a member of the company's executive management committee, Booz Allen said.

She joins the company from AECOM Technologies, where she served as general counsel. Before AECOM, Laben worked at Accenture in the position of deputy general counsel. She has also worked at IBM Corp.

She holds a bachelor's degree in government and East Asian studies from Smith College, and a juris doctor degree from Columbia University School of Law.

Laben will begin her new role at Booz Allen Hamilton on September 30, 2013.
