Lockheed Martin wins $14M modification for situational awareness prototype
Lockheed Martin has won a contract modification under the Air Force’s NETCENTS I contract to provide an integrated space situational awareness prototype developer.
Lockheed Martin has won a $14.4 million contract modification to a delivery order under the Air Force’s NETCENTS contract to provide an integrated space situational awareness prototype developer.
Lockheed’s team includes AGI, Charles River Analytics, Data Fusion and Neural Networks and Northrop Grumman.
The integrated space situational awareness prototype developer is meant to support the Space and Missile Systems Center as it carries out the Air Force’s space operations and intelligence processing, according to a Charles River Analytics release.
This delivery order provides for completion of a number of efforts that will enhance net-centric access to space situational awareness data for the Joint Space Operational Center, according to the Defense Department.
The order is worth $37.4 million in total.
Work will be performed in Colorado Springs, Colo., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 8, 2015.
Funding in the amount of $1.2 million is obligated at the time of the award.
