Northrop Grumman has won a $25.3 million contract modification with the Navy to support littoral combat ships.

Under the contract, Northrop Grumman will provide three mission modules, support containers and engineering and production planning services for mission packages that will deploy from and integrate with the littoral combat ship, the Defense Department said.

Work will be performed in Huntsville, Ala., Portsmouth, Va., Bethpage, N.Y., Manchester, N.H., and Hollywood, Md., and is expected to be completed by September 2015.

Funding in the full amount of the contract is obligated at the time of the award, and will not expire at the end of fiscal 2013.
