SAIC, Serco win Navy contracts for submarine systems support

SAIC and Serco have won contracts with the Navy to support special projects and electronic submarine systems.

Two companies have won contracts of varying values with the U.S. Navy to support special projects and electronic submarine systems.

Under the contracts, the companies will provide lifecycle engineering, management, hardware engineering, configuration management and logistics.

The winners and contract values are:

  • SAIC -- $38.2 million (base: $22.7 million)
  • Serco -- $33.4 million (base: $19.8 million)

Work will take place in McLean, Va., and at government facilities to include operational platform sites, shore-based sites and training activities located inside and outside of the United States, and is expected to be completed by May 2016, or May 2018 with options.
