McLane Advanced Technologies names insider president and COO

McLane Advanced Technologies has promoted James Chambers to the positions of president and chief operating officer. Drayton McLane Jr. will remain chairman and CEO.

McLane Advanced Technologies has promoted retired Army Major Gen. James Chambers to president and chief operating officer. He was formerly executive vice president.

Before joining McLane Advanced Technologies in 2011, Chambers served for over 33 years in the Army, including a stint as director of logistics, J-4 U.S. Central Command, MacDill Air Force Base, Fla.

Drayton McLane Jr. will remain the chairman and CEO of McLane Advanced Technologies, the company said in a release.

The company also said that it is expanding operations by adopting the McLane Logistics Technology commercial logistics system, as well as state and local government business units, in addition to promoting Chambers.

The McLane Logistics Suite recently won the Deliverables-Based Information Technology Services contract, the company said.
