Unisys has won a $650 million single-award Enterprise Computing Center Support contract from the Internal Revenue Service to continue supporting the computer systems the agency uses to process taxes.
Unisys will support and maintain the IRS computing environment, including Unisys ClearPath Dorado servers, the company said.
The services that the company provides will help the service with its mission critical functions, like processing tax returns and maintaining taxpayer records.
The contract has a one-year base worth $14.6 million, and nine option years.
The company said that it has performed similar work for more than a decade under the predecessor Service Center Support System contract. The company helps the IRS maintain its computing environment and consolidate and modernize processing operations.
