Deloitte hires new managing director of health care practice

Todd Kerr brings health, compliance 'acumen' to Deloitte team

Deloitte & Touche LLP has named Todd Kerr a managing director in the company’s governance, regulatory and risk strategies practice, where he will serve the company’s health care clients.

“Todd’s multi-faceted health industry and regulatory compliance acumen significantly enhances our capabilities and differentiates us from our competitors,” said Kevin McGovern, national managing partner of the practice, Deloitte & Touche LLP

Kerr has a background in overseeing corporate functions that manage regulatory matters pertaining to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the Office of Inspector General, Deloitte said.

He was senior vice president and chief compliance officer of Fresenius Medical Care North America for eight years, where he led the development of physician and pharmaceutical joint venture compliance programs.

Kerr was also a senior executive at LifePoint Hospitals, and held posts at Healthcare Corporation of America and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee.

He holds a bachelor’s degree from Park University in Missouri, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Tennessee State Society of Certified Public Accountants, Deloitte said.
