Time for a fifth helping of SEWP

Draft RFP in the works for $10.5B SEWP V

NASA is preparing its draft request for proposals for the fifth iteration of the $10.5 billion SEWP contract.

The draft RFP for the Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement V is expected by Feb. 8, and comments will be due April 12, according to the presolicitation noticed published today.

Other key dates moving forward:

  • Final RFP to be released early summer.
  • Proposals due in late summer.
  • Anticipated award date, May 2014.

Like its predecessors, SEWP V will be a multiple award contact, and can be used by any agency to buy a variety of IT products and related services. Under SEWP IV, more than $9.4 billion in task orders have been awarded, according to the market research firm Deltek.

World Wide Technologies has been the biggest vendor on the contract with $938.9 million in task orders, followed by CDW-G with $621.3 million, GTSI with $567.6 million and immixGroup with $507.9 million.

In total, there are 49 contract holders under SEWP IV.

The new contract will have one competition area in Category A for computer-based systems. Category B, complementary products, will have three competition areas that will include various small business designations.
