Jacobs wins $1.4B NASA testing and operations contract
Work at the Kennedy Space Center will cover ground systems, processing, launch operations

Jacobs Engineering Group has won a $1.4 billion testing and operation support contract for the NASA at Kennedy Space Center, Fla.
The contract has a base of one year and seven months, two two-year option periods and four additional option years; all together, the contract is just short of ten years.
Services that Jacobs will provide under the contract include management and implementation of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing and launch operations at the space center.
These services will support the center’s Ground Processing Directorate, as well as the International Space Station, Ground Systems Development and Operations, Space Launch System, Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle and Launch Services programs, Jacobs said in a release.
Jacobs also said that its team that won the contract included two subcontractors, ERC Incorporated and Aerodyne Industries LLC.
